OBJECTIVES OF THE HYDROGEN ENERGY CLUSTER
DELIVERY
We want to make green hydrogen marketable as an energy source for use in standardized solutions.
NETWORKING
Networking of all actors in the value chain from the component manufacturer to the end customer, including the political decision-makers up to the European level.
COOPERATION
A close cooperation with municipalities and municipal institutions, other industry-specific associations as well as research institutes is expressly sought.
ABOUT US
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (MV) is the most important generating region for green electricity in the whole of Germany. Due to the accelerated expansion of renewable energies, far more electricity is now being generated in MV (2017: 15.8 TWh) than consumed (6.7 TWh).
Electricity generation from renewable energies alone exceeded the country's electricity requirements by around 70 percent in 2017. Compared to other locations in Germany, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has enough green electricity to produce large quantities of "green hydrogen".
From Schwerin to Stralsund, there is a wide range of expertise and experience in the field of hydrogen technology. This applies to scientific competence as well as to concrete implementation at company level.
